A rare 8-bore self-opening sidelock ejector gun by James Purdey & Sons, which was built in 1919, will be included in Gavin Gardiner Ltd’s Live Online Auction of Modern & Vintage Sporting Guns. The auction will be held virtually on Wednesday 21 April at 2pm. It is estimated that the piece will sell for between £8,000-£12,000. The gun with 32-inch barrels is very unusual as Purdey completed very few large calibre guns of this type and it remains in a very honest and original condition. gavingardiner.com
