A FAMILY AFFAIR

Our company Stephens Bakery was founded in 1873 by William Stephen and is now in the fourth generation of our family. Our website has our full history including the ghosts of our past.

We are very passionate about our family business and delighted that our children Sean and Talia have joined us. The third photo is of my father who took over from his father when he was killed suddenly in car crash at the age of only 19. It was said we loaned money to Andrew Carnegie's family so they could sail to America – our bakery is 200 meters from his birthplace. So we may get re-paid in the thousands one day!
