The Twa Dogs

Canine celebrities Olive and Mabel joined their owner, Andrew Cotter, at the Poet’s Path in Alloway to meet another doggie duo, The Twa Dogs – a new sculpture at the National Trust for Scotland’s Robert Burns Birthplace. Olive and Mabel’s sporting contests, with commentary by Troon-born broadcaster Andrew, went viral in 2020. They met lifesize bronze sculptures of Luath and Caesar, the canine pair immortalised in Burns’ The Twa Dogs poem. The work was created by artist Sally
