Celebrating St Columba

To mark the 1500th anniversary of the birth of St Columba, and to celebrate his life and legacy, Historic Environment Scotland has published a new collection of poems by writer in residence Alex Aldred. The collection is inspired by the life of the patron saint of poetry and renowned Irish Monk – widely believed to have brought Christianity to Scotland – and his connection to the country and its historic environment.
