TRIED AND TESTED
WHAT IS IT? Toggi’s Suffolk boots. £71. www.toggi.com
I WANT IT BECAUSE: These jodhpur boots are so comfortable and durable that they are perfect for both work and play. Also, I have wide feet and these fit better than any other boots I’ve ever had.
USEFUL FOR: They are designed for equestrian use, but while being sturdy enough for riding and mucking out, they are now my go-to boots for everyday use.
HIGH POINT: The nu-buck leather upper is rugged yet comfortable, while a breathable lining ensures
my feet don’t overheat.
LOW POINT: They can come up a little too big, so order a size less than you need,
WHAT IS IT? Orvis Memory Foam Couch Dog Bed. £259-£349. www.orvis.co.uk
I WANT IT BECAUSE: I’ve got a new dog who comes to the office so it’s crucial she sleeps comfortably (and quietly) all day (which she does).
USEFUL FOR: The foam moulds to the dog’s body and enhances comfort. The stacked bolsters around the edge are firm enough to hold her head up.
HIGH POINT: This is the best dog bed I’ve ever had. A hypoallergenic, water-resistant liner keeps the memory foam clean and dry, and unzips for easy removal and washing. It is truly massive though.
LOW POINT: You can machine wash the covers but can’t tumble dry them. And the cost, obviously.
