Time is almost up for this species of glorious car. Two-door coupes with rear-wheel drive, sports suspension and perfect 50:50 weight distribution between front and rear will soon be as extinct as the dodo, driven out of existence by nanny-state regulation and police-state surveillance. Meanwhile, the new BMW 4 Series is as scintillating a rendition of the form as we have ever seen. Pity that its destiny is soon to become a relic of a dead age.
