Hedge talk
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is hosting a talk on hedges for multiple environmental benefits. Tijana Blanusa works for the University of Reading and the Royal Horticultural Society and her talk will cover what we currently know about the multiple environmental benefits provided by hedges such as cooling, stormwater management, air pollution reduction and noise reduction. She will discuss the mechanisms that make some species more effective than others. The talk takes place on Tuesday 14 September at 10.30am. Tickets cost £3. www.rbge.org.uk
