SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED

The Letters Patent will be in the forthcoming Scottish Sale on 14 October at Bonhams. These were sent by Robert the Bruce in his name as King of Scotland, in Scone, on 20 March 1326, granting lands at 'Uthirtyre' (Auchtertyre) in the sheriffdom of Forfar to his supporter in the Wars of Independence, Sir William Oliphant, in return for the feudal service of three archers in the King's army.
