Strathallan
We’ve been doing things differently at Strathallan for over 100 years. Our 153-acre campus is home to some of the best facilities in the country, and our tailored curriculum of Highers, Advanced Highers and A-Levels is the broadest available at a Scottish co-educational boarding school. Whatever you’re interested in, you’ll find a place for it at Strathallan.
Opportunities for all to excel
Strathallan pupils excel academically, compete in sports at national and international levels, and play as part of nationwide orchestras and ensembles. In 2021 (the most recent formal examinations), Strathallan students achieved their best A-Level results in over a decade, with 84% of all A-Level students awarded A* to B grades.
Our ambition is to inspire a lifelong enjoyment of learning for learning’s sake. With a flexible curriculum and innovative teaching, we can support every pupil to achieve. Strathallan leavers go on to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, international study, work placements, the Armed Forces and professional sporting careers.
Sixth Form Opportunities
Sixth Form places are also available each year for pupils joining the School. Our Sixth Form skills development programme centers on key life skills that ensure pupils are ready for the challenges of life beyond school. With opportunities to develop citizenship, leadership, team work, and communication, our pupils build a complete toolkit to help them excel at university, in employment, and in society wherever they go next. Scholarships are available at Sixth Form entry in a variety of academic, creative and sporting disciplines with assessments taking place in November each year.
Strathallan’s aim has always been to bring out the very best in every pupil, and our non-selective admissions policy means we get to welcome some truly remarkable young people. Some go on to become Olympians and play sports for their country, others excel academically or artistically, and everyone is given the opportunity to find their place to shine
