Not small beer

Over three hundred Scottish pubs have made it into this year’s Good Beer Guide for 2022, which includes 51 newly listed establishments. There has also been a net increase in the numbers of breweries across Scotland, with eight breweries closing by the end of September 2021, while the guide lists ten new breweries. One example of an establishment which has been included in the guide – which is voted for by volunteers from the Campaign For Real Ale, and includes pubs serving cask ales – is The Mercat Grill in Whitecraig, East Lothian.
