Film star's Scots poster on sale

A poster for the film Kidnapped will be offered in Sir Michael Caine: The Personal Collection on 2 March at Bonham's in New Bond Street. Kidnapped sees Jacobite rebel Alan Breck (Michael Caine) struggle to evade capture in the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden in 1746. The movie, which also starred Donald Pleasence and Trevor Howard, was filmed on location across Scotland, and was largely based on Robert Louis Stevenson's novels Kidnapped (1886) and Catriona (1893). The 1971 poster has been signed by Sir Michael and has an estimated sale price of £300-500. www.bonhams.com
