MIDDLE EAST FLAVOUR

Many of Scotland’s finest food and drink products have been taken to the lucrative Middle East market. Scottish Development International, partnered with Scotland Food and Drink, took the produce of 19 famous Scottish brands to promote them in the United Arab Emirates for a fortnight. Middle East consumers were able to purchase Scottish culinary delights such as Walkers Shortbread, Nairn’s Oatcakes, Baxters soup and chutney and Barrs Irn Bru. It is hoped the initiative will see the number of Scottish brands exporting to the Middle East rise as a result.
