Wood Leisure Celebrates 40 Years in Business by

Winning Best Holiday Park in Scotland.

Wood Leisure Holiday Parks are enjoying a double celebration after winning the Best

Holiday Park, in the coveted Scottish Hospitality

Awards, whilst celebrating their 40th anniversary in business.

The family owned, and operated company was founded in 1981 by Colin and Margaret

Wood when they opened their first holiday park in Blairgowrie. Winning Best Holiday Park, 40 years later for this same park is incredibly special.

From day one, the Woods had the vision of developing a top quality, all year-round holiday business, and invested heavily in Blairgowrie Holiday Park. The past four decades have witnessed steady growth for the company, and there are now six holiday parks for visitors to choose from: two in Perthshire, two in Stirlingshire, one in Deeside and one near Loch Lomond.

The company now has almost 500 holiday homeowners, 130 self-catering lodges, caravan holiday homes, ensuite glamping and camping pods. There is a strong community of seasonal tourers and being located within reach of Scotland’s National parks, means they are seeing increased popularity amongst motorhome and touring caravan owners.

Customers have always been at the heart of the business. Right from the start the focus for Colin & Margaret was on providing high standards, with quality accommodation, spotless facilities, and excellent customer care. This has paid off with 5-star ratings from VisitScotland for the parks and many accolades over the years. This Scottish Hospitality Award reinforces their commitment and passion as a strong family business planning for the future and continuing to provide memorable holiday experiences for guests
