Visit local this Easter weekend
THERE IS LOTS HAPPENING ON OUR DOORSTEP
WITH Spring upon us and the clocks going forward this weekend, it’s the time of year to start looking forward for things to do and spending time outside.
Easter is traditionally the time we start planning places to go and if you are looking for something to do this weekend you have plenty of options on your doorstep.
If you want to try something new or simply want a day out, there are lots of events and activities happening across the area. We often search further afield for places to visit or for a weekend away and by-pass what’s available in our own neighbourhood. We need to support our local businesses and become local ambassadors to promote North Lincolnshire to our friends, family and those that we know.
The Visit North Lincolnshire Tourism Partnership is comprised of North Lincolnshire visitor economy businesses that work together to promote the area.
This year, the Partnership wants to encourage local residents to use and visit them and reduce the carbon footprint by not travelling too far from home.
They are using the brand “We are North Lincolnshire” to promote what they do, goods that are made here and events that are happening.
The sector has suffered many challenges over the past few years, including the impact of the covid pandemic and the economic challenge we have all faced.
These businesses have been resilient and continue to offer some terrific experiences, places to stay, fabulous products and lots of things to do that will keep the visitor occupied.
Why not promote your favourite place to go or give a shout out for a great experience you have recently had in North Lincolnshire?
The Partnership uses social media to promote what is happening and the great places we have to visit.
The “Visit North Lincolnshire” Facebook page is an ideal place to start as it provides information on the opportunities and places of interest we have here in our own locality.
Why not follow our Facebook page and Instagram (@Visit.North.Lincs) to see what exciting things are taking place and the great countryside we live in.
Please share your photos or stories and use the hashtag #wearenorthlincolnshire to help spread the word and let’s keep tourism alive and thriving.
We really do have some unique experience days including hands-on workshops, amazing restaurants and food experiences, wonderful open green space for cycling and walking, and plenty of activities for children to keep them occupied over the Easter holiday period.
Visit local this weekend and support our local businesses.
