If fog rolls in, or it’s dark and vis­i­bil­ity is poor, es­pe­cially off­shore, it’s vi­tal to have the right equip­ment to find your way home. Not hav­ing to rely on elec­tri­cal power, the sim­ple com­pass is the ideal tool, and the Silva 58 kayak com­pass is tried and tested. A small and light­weight com­pass for kayak nav­i­ga­tion and safety, its bungee cords with hook ends at­tach eas­ily to the deck lines of a kayak, so there is no need to drill into the hull. If a per­ma­nent mount is pre­ferred, the base of the Silva 58 can be screw-mounted to the hull.
