THE COMPETITIO­N

ere are two event categories with seperate prize tables being run simultaneo­usly. ese are recreation­al boat and charter boat.

e format is a catch photograph and release event. e winner will be the boat with combined length of the three longest of each species on day one added to combined length of three longest of each species on day two. Charter boat category winners will be the pair with the longest combined length of the three longest of each species on day one added to combined length of three longest of each species on day two. e recreation­al boat category will include a maximum of four rods per boat, a minimum of two anglers and maximum of four.

e entry fee per angler is £250. Prizes for the recreation­al boat category will go from 1st-40th place including a fully equipped Extreme 745 Game King and trailer.

e charter boat category will be a pairs event with two rods per pair. ere will be a £50,000 prize table. e entry fee is £180 per angler with prizes from 1st - 20th place. Overall prizes are awarded for the biggest overall of each of the five target species. ere is a best placed ladies prize and best placed 6.7m and under boat category

PRIZEGIVIN­G

e event prizegivin­g will take place in the historic dockyard with the world-famous backdrop of Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory.

e final event celebratio­n will take place on the deck of HMS Warrior for up to 525 guests!

e event has full support, involvemen­t, endorsemen­t and backing from Portsmouth City Council, e Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays, the Angling Trust and the leading global brands in the marine /angling industry including Mercury, Lowrance, Penn Internatio­nal and Rapala, amongst others. ■

We’ve teamed up with the event organisers, Angling Spirit, to give-away almost £6,000-worth of entry prizes, which include five private boat entry places, worth £1000 each, plus two charter boat pair entries worth £360 each.
