Newport Beach refresh
NEWPORT BEACH, California, will debut its latest four-star hotel, the Lido House, in early April.
The property, which is part of the Autograph Collection, will feature 130-guest rooms, including one presidential suite, several executive suites and five custom design threestorey cottages.
Located amongst the city’s marina, beach and retail hub on Balboa Island Peninsula, the retreat will feature the only rooftop bar in the area along with a saltwater pool, spa and private cabanas.
Visit Newport Beach President and CEO Gary Sherwin said: “Newport Beach is a great place to get away from the craziness of Los Angeles and experience the elite lifestyle. The new Lido hotel will offer the ideal sanctuary for visitors, particularly over the busy Film Festival period in April.”
The annual Newport Beach Film Festival is to return for its 19th year, running from April 26 to May 3.
An audience of over 54,000 descend on Newport Centre Drive to celebrate independent and studio films from around the globe. Tickets are available at newportbeachfilmfest.com/passes.
Thirty per cent of hotels will undergo renovations prior to the festival, with the Renaissance Newport Beach pegged to open early spring after rebranding from Duke Hotel Newport Beach. visitnewportbeach.com
