THE EYES HAVE IT
RWANDA has a new brand identity, logo and slogan – ‘Visit Rwanda’ – as part of a strategy to attract more tourists.
The fresh direction is inspired by Rwanda’s landscape, volcanoes, flora and fauna and the Rwanda traditional art form, Imigongo.
A tourism spokesperson said: “Rwanda has made an impressive transformation over the last few years into a modern, safe country with world-class infrastructure and an expanding premium tourism sector. Substantial investment is being made into roads, a new international airport and new premium hotels across Rwanda.”
The country’s best known tourism asset is Volcanoes National Park, for its mountain gorillas, but visitors can also experience walks over jungle canopies, cycling, kayaking, birding and culture and heritage at Nyanza and Huye.
