Selling Travel - - River Cruising News - BY LAURA GELDER

FRED. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched an online training programme following the launch of its first river ship Brabant.

The programme has five modules focusing on life on board Brabant, the European destinations it serves, key experiences, guest services and how to book, plus a short quiz at the end of each module.

Brabant was launched in April and has been sailing the Danube, Main, Moselle and Rhine rivers.

Mike Evans, Head of Sales at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “We know that our travel agents are integral to our success, and it is paramount that those selling our river cruises really understand the product that we offer, how we operate and how this differs from our ocean cruises. Our new European River Cruising online training programme is the perfect way for us to make sure travel agents know Brabant and our sailings inside out.

The programme is available on Fred. Olsen’s Travel Agent Centre, a dedicated trade resource which holds useful information in downloadable documents, videos, images and virtual tours of each of company’s ocean and river ships.

Brabant cruises include the five-night Delights of Holland in Bloom cruise, round-trip from Düsseldorf and calling at Dutch ports including Schoonhoven and Amsterdam.
