FOUR new ships will be added to Uniworld’s fleet over the next three years. The luxury line will launch vessels on the Nile, the Douro and the Mekong in 2020, and a new ship on the Volga in Russia in 2021, replacing existing vessels in each destination and putting them in line with Uniworld’s custom-built ‘Super Ships’ it has in Europe.
FRED. River Cruises has announced it is now the official UK GSA for American Cruise Lines. It will offer 35 sailings across 25 states on modern river boats, coastal cruise ships and paddlewheelers, including cruises on the Mississippi.
AVALON Waterways and its sister brand, Cosmos, have announced a significant expansion of its sales team and greater commitment to the trade. The new sales recruits will be working to educate agents about Avalon’s move to an all-suite fleet from 2019 and the expansion of its Asian river cruise programme to include the Ganges from 2019.
