AS MARCH 28 comes ever closer everyone is talking about Brexit and we're sure your customers will have asked you how it will affect their holiday plans.

I am also sure many Selling Travel readers know a lot more about Brexit than us, so what we thought we would do is share some of the tools that we think are great for keeping in contact with your customers and reassuring them after they have booked with you.

Mail Chimp is a fantastic free email marketing tool that lets you create profession­al-looking emails and mass mail them to customers. It also gives you the power to personalis­e parts of the email, such as first names. At Venture Travel we use this for our monthly newsletter, which this month gave our customers some updates in regards to post-travel Brexit, along with offers and other company updates.

Creating a Facebook group where all your customers can interact with each other and answer each other’s questions is also a fantastic way to reduce your workload and create a community for your customers which could turn into a USP.

Whatsapp have been developing a new group feature which is fantastic for keeping in contact with your customers.

Unlike Facebook groups, where everyone can message each other, the Whatsapp group feature only allows the admin of the group to send messages and removes any opportunit­ies for your customers to have debates on divisive subjects such as Brexit! THE ONLINE AGENCY
