Dawnay Estates charity clay shoot raises £ 42,700 for two good causes
A charity clay shoot held on the grounds of Wykeham Abbey near Scarborough has raised more than an astonishing £ 40,000 for Saint Catherine’s Hospice and the GWCT.
The shoot, organised by the Dawnay Estates, saw 46 teams shoot and then enjoy an auction, which included a plethora of lots.
David barrett, Dawnay Estates assistant agent, said: “We are delighted to have raised such a huge amount of money for our chosen charities this year. Saint Catherine’s Hospice and the GWCT are two charities that carry out amazing work and are very close to our hearts.
“Our thanks must go to our sponsors – Langleys Solicitors, Addplant, Lycetts, Twisted Automotive, mccain – and all those who attended on the day.”
Nicky Grunwell, fundraiser for Saint Catherine’s, said: “We are thrilled that The Dawnay Estates chose to support Saint Catherine’s with this event. It was a truly wonderful day enjoyed by all and we are over the moon that we have received such a fantastic donation.”
