Champion crowned at the Midland Game Fair
Event: BASC Chudleys Scurry League Final Venue: Weston Park, Shropshire
After 10 incredible rounds of scurry action that took place at some of the finest countryside events in the UK, the top 20 dogs were invited to the Midland Game Fair to compete in the final competition to crown the overall champion.
It was an emotionally challenging day as skilled handlers and their dogs gave their all in a bid to win the BASC Chudleys Scurry League Championship. With an amazing score of 88/100, Tony Bryant and his labrador Skye took home the title. This was the first year that Tony and Skye had taken part in the event, having become involved in the competition after competing in their first event at the Northern Shooting Show earlier this year.
Tony and Skye received the BASC Chudleys Scurry League trophy, one year’s supply of Chudleys dog food, a commissioned portrait of Skye by Jessica Lennox, a £300 Sporting Saint voucher and a beautifully carved ramshorn walking stick. All the finalists who took part in the event also received a Sologne coat and trousers set with a pair of wellington boots from Percussion Clothing.
There have been some amazing displays of skill and stamina throughout the year and Chudleys would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication during each round and the championship competition. Congratulations to all of the winners.
