Are you a keen and capable Shot who wants to help make the voice of shooting heard ? Then think about standing for election to the BASC Council. Chief executive Ian Bell said: “A seat on the BASC Council is a unique and privileged position. Not only will you represent our membership but you will be helping to secure shooting sports for future generations.”
Nomination forms are available to download at po.st/basccouncil and must be submitted by 31 January. For more information contact Louise Murray on tel 01244 573039 or email louise.murray@basc.org.uk.
REPRESENT
The end of the shooting season is fast approaching. In England, Wales and Scotland, though, below the mean high-water mark, you will still be able to go wildfowling until 20 February. If you’ve been standing on a peg or walking-up hedgerows for most of the season, why not ask a fowling friend to take you out for a flight? Who knows, it could be the start of a happy career on the marsh. If the bug bites you, have a look at BASC’S wildfowling permit scheme, which opens up shooting opportunities across the country.
