Big Farmland Bird Count 2019

The 2019 Big Farmland Bird Count runs from 8-17 February and provides valuable information on how conservation schemes initiated by farmers and gamekeepers — such as supplementary feeding, growing wild bird seed crops and game cover crops — are working.

Taking part in the count is rewarding and free and the results can often throw up some surprises. The GWCT has published an illustrated bird identification sheet and full instructions on how to get started.
