TO CATCH A FISH

This is one of the best-known and most popular salmon flies. It was an old tweed pattern, devised by James Wright of Sprouston in around 1886, using a large amount of bright and vivid colours such as orange and blue to catch the fish’s attention for long enough for it to strike.
