TO CATCH A FISH

The Blue Charm began life more than a century ago as a simple British feather-wing pattern, often tied as a small ‘low-water’ fly. Since then, it has become a popular and effective fly pattern wherever Atlantic salmon are fished. There has even been a small poem written about the fly, which begins: “I had a charm, My charm was blue, Great charm it was, Fish thought so too.” EW
