of the Langstone Wildfowlers which, in 1956, flowered into the successful WAGBI (BASC) affiliated club it still is to this day.
His passing at the age of 90 will resonate with many wildfowlers around the country as being among the last immediate and tangible connection with the birth of modern wildfowling, a connection that will eventually fade into the mists of time.
Dave worked tirelessly to build the foundations upon which modern wildfowling sits. All of us who shoot the foreshore owe him, and others of his generation, a debt of gratitude.

evidenced by a gamekeeper friend who put a video clip on a social media site showing a gun cart with that word on its side. He was told that the word ‘gun’ is not acceptable on its site. How is social media able to exercise this type of mind control?
The shooting community needs to be more mindful about what its enemies are doing to discredit our sport. We are being steered into passive acceptance that guns are an evil and their ownership is a taboo.
