PARKER-HALE PULLTHROUGH RIFLE CLEANER
Unlike its 1930s counterparts, the Parker-hale pull-through rifle cleaner came in a pouch made from a “strong serviceable material”, the kind of leatherette that was becoming ubiquitous in the 1970s.
The device consisted of a brass weight with a string attaching it to a brush. The brush could be phosphor bronze or hog bristle. In 1973, these were supplied to the trade at a cost of 28p each and retailed for 42p. DH
