Gamekeeper jailed for serious offences
The Scottish Gamekeepers Association has expressed its disgust over the conduct of a gamekeeper who has been imprisoned for animal cruelty and firearms offences. Rhys Davies was sentenced to 210 days’ imprisonment, banned from keeping animals for 15 years and fined £1,800. Scottish Gamekeepers Association chair
Alex Hogg said: “Like everyone else reading the details of this case, we find it distressing and abhorrent. Although the individual was formerly employed as a gamekeeper, such activities are not in any way a reflection of the gamekeeping profession.”
