HEARTBREAK­ING GUNDOG THEFT

I found this year’s Game Fair to be an enjoyable experience. I haven’t been to the show for a few years, but found the event very friendly and well supported. It is a treat to enjoy the countrysid­e with like-minded men and women. Although my budget did not extend to a new over-and-under, I enjoyed talking to several gunmakers. Overall, I would say it was near perfect.

However, I was shocked to hear the news that a gundog was stolen from a secure vehicle. I understand that she belonged to a member of the England gundog team and

I can only begin to imagine how heartbreak­ing this must be. I don’t understand how, at an event as large as the Game Fair, such crimes can be committed. We should all do what we can to reunite the dog and owner.

It would be such a shame for the Game Fair to gain a reputation, as has happened with some other events through the years. I hope she is returned safely soon.
