Stolen gundog turns up 12 months later

A spaniel whose theft was highlighted by Shooting Times has been recovered a year after she was stolen. Trigger, a black-and-white springer bitch, was snatched from the home of gamekeeper Torben Jessen in July last year (News, 21 July 2021). Despite a frantic search and huge social media campaign, Trigger could not be found. But now she has turned up tied to a post around 30 miles from Torben’s home. It is believed that the dog had been used for breeding and was dumped when puppy prices fell.
