OWNER SETTING A BAD EXAMPLE?
I was disappointed to read about the theft of spaniel Ivy during the Game Fair at Ragley Hall (News, 10 August).
On that date — 29 July — the weather was extremely hot. She was left in a truck by her owner, a member of the England gundog team, setting a poor example, in my opinion.

Note: In the majority of the appeals issued following the theft, Ivy’s owners have made it clear that she was stolen from an “air-conditioned vehicle”.
