In tricky conditions on trout reservoirs, this pattern should be tried when more common patterns simply stop working. I’d use it as a single fly by default, but it’s also perfect as a dropper.

It features a tungsten bead to help get your fly right down to feeding fish fast. Long leaders are essential and expect strong takes as it descends through water, but don’t forget to try varied rates of retrieve.
