Best scopes for all hours
Can you recommend a good night-vision scope that I can also leave on the rifle for daytime shooting? I don’t want to keep re-zeroing my rifle when changing between optics.
There are several good options that offer a good daytime colour image in a digital format, while also giving good night-time performance. The Sightmark Wraith is one of my favourites, along with the Pulsar Digex C50, Infiray TD50 and the new HIK Micro Alpex, all of which offer night and day capability.
You could also consider an add-on unit to convert your day scope to night vision. Pard or Pulsar both offer very good options in this market. Another viable option is to choose a dedicated night scope with a 30mm tube and use quick-release scope mounts with a Picatinny rail to quickly swap between that and a conventional day scope, without the need to re-zero.
