This cigar is constructed in thirds, offering creamy notes building up into smokier tones as it develops. It’s a straightforward smoke that’s easy on the palate and pairs beautifully with a light lunch; it makes for a nice treat during a day in the field. “think like a pigeon”, as Archie Coats would say. The acorn harvest is still gripping the birds’ attention and ivy berries are now a big draw. It’s typical of this time of year, so I can’t complain really. The leaves are rapidly coming off the trees and hopefully, with a slight change in weather, my opportunities will start to improve. It’s a case of keeping at it. Keep watching and trying and, every now and then, when a chance shows itself, take it.
