Rifle load comparison

What is the leading ballistic software for working out the best handload for my rifle? Is there anything that can compare different loads without physically loading up ammunition?

Yes. The only program like this that I’m aware of is the Quickload software from JMS Sporting. This program is extremely in-depth and will tell you everything there is to know about a cartridge. It incorporates a vast bullet and powder library from which to select different combinations and compare them to one another. Obviously it can’t predict how accurate it can be, but it can give you precise ballistic information with the ability to print off drop charts for each chosen load.

The Quickload software comes on a disc ready to install on a PC, and costs £151 posted within the UK. Considering the cost of reloading components, the software could very quickly start to save you money. MR
