Satellites of a gas giant
JUNO SPACECRAFT, 6 OCTOBER 2017
NASA’s Juno spacecraft is in orbit around Jupiter, sending back data that is helping scientists unlock the secrets of the Solar System’s largest gas giant. In this image, Jupiter’s limb can be seen top right, its moons Io (right) and Europa (left) dwarfed in comparison. This image was processed by citizen scientist Roman Tkachenko using raw data captured by Juno.
