Best time to see: 1 Novem­ber, 20:30 UT Al­ti­tude: 30º Lo­ca­tion: Aquar­ius Di­rec­tion: South Nep­tune re­mains well placed through­out Novem­ber, close to the mag. +3.7 star Lambda (h) Aquarii. Though it’s at mag. +7.9 you’ll need at least a pair of binoc­u­lars to see the planet. Mars ap­pears to ap­proach Nep­tune this month, ly­ing west of Lambda Aquarii at the month’s end. Nep­tune reaches its high­est point in the sky, due south, in dark­ness all month long, al­though it only just man­ages this as dark­ness falls by 30 Novem­ber.
