March marks the end of Uranus as an evening planet; it will only be vis­i­ble low in the western twilight sky. Mars isn’t far be­hind, de­part­ing around 21:00. Jupiter has moved into the evening, ris­ing around 23:00 mid­month. The early morn­ing sees the ar­rival of Saturn, fol­lowed by Venus around 03:00. Early in the month Mer­cury and Nep­tune re­turn to the morn­ing, ris­ing be­fore dawn by month’s end. On 31 March the most in­ner planet has closed to only 1.3° from the most outer planet.
