Io vol­cano due to erupt

A large vol­cano on Jupiter’s moon Io could erupt any day now. Af­ter 20 years of ob­ser­va­tions, astronomer­s have found the vol­cano, Loki, erupts about ev­ery 475 days. The cy­cle means the vol­cano should have erupted in Septem­ber, but as of writ­ing the lava vent was keep­ing astronomer­s wait­ing.
