▶ A shal­low box with a lid: a Tup­per­ware con­tainer works well as the lid will pro­tect your model when not in use. The one used here mea­sures 29x21.5cm.

▶ Bot­tle of liq­uid la­tex: avail­able from art shops and on­line stores. Ap­prox­i­mately 250ml of la­tex is enough for this size of con­tainer

▶ White bak­ing flour though: any kind of flour will do.

▶ Two mix­ing bowls and a spoon: glass or plas­tic bowls are fine as liq­uid la­tex peels off eas­ily once dried.

▶ Good ref­er­ence photo: chose one that shows the en­tire crater and which has well-de­fined, vis­i­ble shad­ows.
