Saturday surprise
While going through the normal nightly routine, I decided to have one last look at the night sky. It was a clear night, not much happening: the Plough looked its usual self; a few other stars were shining. Then my eyes were drawn to what appeared to be a smudge in the distance. Could it be? Time for the binoculars, and what a nice surprise. Yes, Comet NEOWISE had made its appearance over the skies in Sheffield. It was time to grab my camera. Trying to remember all the astrophotography lessons provided in the magazine I began taking photos. What was an uneventful Saturday night turned out to be one of the best! Gary Moga, Sheffield
