Conceived and recorded in September 2019, Simulation Theory follows a team of scientists as they investigate the source of a paranormal anomaly appearing around the world releasing a deadly virus.

Following an officer who assumes a new identity as Oli, a gay 14-yearold boy from Bedfordshire seeking to explore his newfound sexuality on social media platforms. Before long he is contacted by a number of adult men, some of whom continue engaging with him even when he reveals to them that he is a child. As the conversations quickly turn sexual, the team behind the undercover officer race to identify the app users who are trying to arrange to sexually abuse 'Oli'.
