Forum meets for first time

WINDSOR: A forum providing residents with a chance to highlight issues in the town held its first meeting last week.

The inaugural West Windsor Community Forum saw residents, community groups, event organisers and charities join together on Thursday, March 31 to share ideas and network.

Items on the agenda included an update from Thames Valley Police’s Jeff Pick, who alerted people to the latest scams involving couriers.

Housing association Abri was also in attendance, with representative Danielle Lane speaking about community events happening in Sawyers Close.

Other organisations at the forum included Dedworth Library and Windsor Cycle Hub, while residents raised issues including parking in the vicinity of schools and the state of bins.

Forum organiser Alison Carpenter said: “These community meetings are a good opportunity to network, seek help on fundraising, project work and other matters and feed off each other’s ideas.”

The next forum meeting will take place at 7pm on Thursday, July 7 at Woody's Cafe at Clewer Recreation Ground.
