Police appeal for witnesses as man remains in custody
A 31-year-old man from Slough remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with an incident of violent disorder on Friday, January 12.
Police also arrested a 36-year-old man from Chertsey on Saturday on suspicion of attempted murder. He has since been released on bail.
Officers were called to Kaywood Close, Slough, over reports of violent disorder between multiple men, at around 3.15am on Friday, January 12.
Police believe one man was struck by a vehicle during the incident and have reported a noise that sounded like a gunshot was also heard.
The man was taken to hospital, where he was reported on Saturday to be in a serious but stable condition.
Police have appealed for witnesses. Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Annabelle Palmer, said: “We are investigating this incident and believe that those involved were known to each other and that there was no danger to the wider public.
“Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries into this concerning incident.
“As such there will be increased patrols in the area in order to provide reassurance to the public.
