Baylis Court Nursery School

-

There has been a nursery school on this site since 1947.

The present setting is purpose built and was constructed in 2015/2016.

We moved into our brand new building in February 2016 and the outside learning environment was available from September 2016.

We have provision for funded two year olds, children aged three and four years old in the main nursery and a resource base for children with complex needs or diagnosed with autism. We offer the extended 30 hours for children who are eligible.

Session times are 8.35am – 11.35am for the morning and 12.35pm – 3.35pm for the afternoon term time only.

Our Aims and Values

At Baylis Court Nursery School we aim to provide a fun, child centred environment which will stimulate children to become independent learners.

Early years practitioners and parents work in partnership to create a healthy, safe and caring atmosphere in which all children have equality of oppor tunity.

We strive to achieve a holistic education that is based on high standards, realistic expectations and mutual respect between children, staff and parents.

At Baylis we have four key values :

Enjoyment – At Baylis Court we pride ourselves that our children enjoy learning. That they come to school each day knowing that they are safe and secure and that they can have fun learning through play.

Curiosity – At Baylis Court we encourage our children to be ‘curious’ learners, encouraging them to think for themselves and make their own choices when engaging in their learning.

Kindness – At Baylis Court we encourage our children to be kind to one another, through their actions and words. Developing positive relationships with other children and staff whilst understanding their feelings.

Resilience – At Baylis Court we work in partnership with parents and children to develop independent learners, teaching them to have courage and try again if at first they don’t succeed.
