‘Beautiful soul’ teen killed in hit-and-run
Family say ‘our boy was made of pure sunshine’ as police make three arrests
The family of an 18-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run in Colnbrook have described him as a ‘beautiful soul’, writes David Lee.
Adam Bouaziz died after being hit by a van driver in Horton Road, at the junction with Beacon Court, at 5.30pm on Thursday, February 22.
On Wednesday, Thames Valley Police released a tribute on behalf of his heartbroken family.
A statement said: “Tracy, Slim and Zak would like to express their sincere thanks to the overwhelming kindness and, support from the hundreds of well-wishers after the tragic death of their beloved son Adam, who was killed in a road traffic collision in Colnbrook on February 22.
“As a family, we are beyond devastated; our boy was made of pure sunshine, and never had a bad bone in his body.”
The statement added: “We need to tell the world how proud we are to have had his beautiful soul in our lives, and how the privilege of being his parents and brother, along with his memory will never die.
“We hope our boy will rest in internal peace, and knows he will remain in our hearts forever.”
A GoFundMe appeal has raised almost £4,000 for the family of Adam Bouaziz.
Yesterday (Thursday) Thames Valley Police issued a new appeal for information over the fatal hit-and-run.
Two men, aged 34 and 31, and a 33-year-old woman, all from Slough, have been arrested and released on bail until May in connection with the crash.
Investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Mike Bettington, of the Roads Policing Department, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed or has footage of a black Mercedes Sprinter Van, with the registration number LK16 KWN, on Colnbrook High Street, near to the Red Lion Supermarket, or in Horton Road or Vicarage Way between about 5.25pm and 5.40pm on Thursday.
