May modest over Boycott comparison

Solihull News - - LETTERS & EMAILS -

PRIME Minister Theresa May dismissed speculation that she could be ousted as Prime Minister over her Brexit agreement, by comparing herself to her favourite cricketer, Geoffrey Boycott: “And what do you know about Geoffrey Boycott? Geoffrey Boycott stuck to it and he got the runs in the end.”

As Mrs May is being attacked on all fronts, perhaps she is being modest by comparing herself to Boycott? If she needs to use cricketing metaphors then she would be more accurate to liken herself to the very greatest batsman of all CJ Solihull
