Fascinating insight on The Hub
HEAD of Solihull Chamber of Commerce Lillian Elekan hosted a two- part podcast with some key individuals involved in the UK Central Hub in Solihull.
The podcast, one of many produced by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, featured fascinating expert insight from development director at Birmingham Airport Jo Lloyd interim managing director at the Urban Growth Company Philip Farrell and operations director at the NEC Will Heynes.
The experts discussed the future of The Hub, a 1,300 hectare area of land that is home to the aforementioned organisations as well as Birmingham Business Park and Jaguar Land Rover.
The discussion emphasised how developments such as HS2 and the Airport’s £ 500 million masterplan are indeed essential to the continued development of this economic region.
However, it is clear from the discussion that transport bodies and organisations must work together in order to keep the region moving through these developments.
They also emphasised how it is imperative that everyone is properly prepared and the developments are fit for purpose and work for everyone concerned.
